We’re focused on the future. And right now, it’s not looking good without our help. With more and more people living longer, and fewer people filling much-needed healthcare roles, the healthcare industry is set to face some hard times — leaving patients to suffer the most.
Today, statistics show the Minnesota counties of Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine, and Wisconsin’s Burnett and Polk counties are facing an elevated issue. With all counties facing an escalating amount of retirees, a growing demand for healthcare, fewer workers, a constantly climbing unemployment rate — including those receiving unemployment insurance longer — we’re posed to see significant negative impact within the healthcare industry now and in the coming years.
That’s why Pine Technical College formed the Healthcare Alliance. In a proactive attempt to curb this troubling stat, Pine Technical College partnered with area school districts, higher education, healthcare providers and the workforce development center system. Throughout our existence, our partners have built a vision for a strong, qualified workforce with opportunities for professional growth.
Through smarter thinking and stronger partnerships, we’re here to assure our healthcare system is thriving for the good of all.
The Healthcare Alliance is proud to have a great network of current students, past graduates, and seasoned healthcare professionals. Hear their stories and see how they’re making a difference by helping others.
The Healthcare Alliance is a vibrant partnership between K–12, higher education, healthcare providers, and the workforce center system striving to ensure there are qualified healthcare professionals to meet the future needs of East Central Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
